Hotel FAIRMONT
The entrance, reception area, and lobby are among the hotel’s most striking spaces. Their timeless design, meticulous craftsmanship, and high aesthetic quality have earned praise from both guests and renowned architectural firms.
The space also features the unique Coocoo’s Nest bar, which flows seamlessly into the art gallery. Together, they create an exceptional atmosphere where architecture, art, and social life come together.
The bar was designed by Mobilier Group in collaboration with project architect Fiona Thompson as an original design and technological concept shaped like “Coocoo’s Nest.” The name comes from the Oscar-winning film “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” directed by Miloš Forman, highlighting a strong connection to Czech-American cinema.
This exceptional element is also a one-of-a-kind technological achievement on a global scale. Its construction utilized state-of-the-art technology for joining bronze materials using an electric arc, a technique that has never before been applied on such a large scale.
The reception desks are adorned with 384 pieces of hand-cut crystal, meticulously crafted and set with diamond-like precision; their brilliance and reflections evoke the constantly pulsating and ever-changing life of the Fairmont Golden Prague hotel.
Greenhouse
The “Greenhouse” interior combines natural materials with metal and concrete, creating a modern and harmonious atmosphere. Mobilier Group created the sculpted copper counters, perforated concrete walls, and cast concrete cylinders. The overall character of the space is complemented by handcrafted glass by artist and glassmaker Mgr. art. Pavol Barkóci.
Kafka Brasserie
Kafka Brasserie pays tribute to the Czech artist Čestmír Kafka and blends gastronomy with art. The interior is complemented by his wooden sculptures, motifs of guild coats of arms in the coffered ceiling, and meticulous craftsmanship.
Mobilier Group implemented a comprehensive interior design solution, including finishes for the walls and ceilings, complemented by handcrafted sculptures that highlight the space’s unique character.
